Our grade 2 students became artists when they began considering how to draw themselves. The images down the left are our first attempts at drawing ourselves. After some guided instruction on how to proportion our face, how to draw our eyes, ears, nose...we created the self-portrait on the right.
Students then learned how to use the watercolor pencil crayons to enhance our self-portraits with color. We are excited to show you our final products at the parent conferences this Thursday and Friday.
