Hi Parents,
Volunteers are invaluable to the success of our school and our students. Through your support, energy and enthusiasm, Royal Oak school can continue to provide an enriched program and many unique opportunities that advance the learning and experiences of our students. While we recognize the busy nature of families, we hope parents, caregivers or other family members are able to come in to support us when they can!
There are many different volunteer opportunities, both inside and outside the classroom, that require different levels of involvement. We will be sending home a form this week that includes some of the volunteer roles where we require assistance. If you have a particular interest or skill you believe may support the educational program/experiences of our students, please indicate on the form, as we may be able to put your talents to use! Filling out the information form will also include you in any fan out information sent by the designated room parent.
A friendly reminder that all volunteers within the CBE require a Volunteer Security Clearance. The information on how to complete this process is available through the school office. Please bring two pieces of Government identification with you (one must be a photo ID). A Security Clearance completed through the Calgary Board of Education is valid for 5 years (within the CBE).
For this week, are there any parents (with volunteer clearance) that are able to come in? Please email me and indicated the preferred time. If you are free tomorrow, we will take you :)
